Jepp Charts on Garmin Pilot

Looks like Jeppesen got some religion...now its charts can be used with Garmin Pilot iOS.

I dropped Jeppesen charts when I got my Android Nexus 7 and loaded up Garmin Pilot....something like $149 for the year which allows the entire US charts/procedures.  IIRC, Jepp wanted $250 just for the southwest US coverage.

The only bad news is that it doesn't look like Jepp charts are compatible with Garmin Pilot for Android...hopefully that will change.

I think based on what I read you need to still buy the base Garmin Pilot app and pay the $199 for the Jepp charts separately. That means you are paying $274 for the privilege of having it on one device. Yep, one device.

I just installed Jeppesen Plates on Garmin Pilot--WOW!

Very cool! Plus the chart can be displayed as overlay on the map or in split screen mode next too the map.

Don, have you seen if the Jepp documentation also comes across into Garmin Pilot? (Wondering if I can ditch JeppFD?)

Marauder, $149 for the entire US coverage is a good discount. I pay more just for the West but it includes displaying them on my panel so I get 4 devices.

Yes, the manuals come across in Garmin Pilot.  Again, this is all US approach plates Sids, and Stars, and Airway Manuals; not the enroute charts.
