merrja Posted January 31, 2016 Report Posted January 31, 2016 Hi All, I just received my 68 F model back from the A & P after a complete engine overhaul (the only thing reused was the crankshaft) . I've noticed that my fuel pressure is slightly above the redline (> ~30 psi) with the new engine (and new fuel pump). I know that the gauge is functioning the same because I still get the same pressure with the boost pump only. Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks! Jim

Jim Does the pressure rest on "0" before you turn on anything? When you turn on the boost pump, does it go to 30" and above as well? If it doesn't, my guess is that the new pump is running higher. Not sure there is an adjustment. One of the IAs can weigh in on that. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Jim I have replaced my fuel pump few month ago and it also indicated pressure above 30psi. We have troubleshoot it with my mechanic for many hours. It was really annoying as my engine monitor gave me red light warning all the time. I called the manufacturer and they said it will adjust itself as the new spring is too strong. And sure enough after few hours of flying it dropped to where it should be.

amillet Posted February 1, 2016 Report Posted February 1, 2016 Same issue with my factory re-built. It is now just below the max by a needle width after about 20 hours 1
Yetti Posted February 1, 2016 Report Posted February 1, 2016 The rebuilt fuel pump seems to run at 30psi at full throttle
