Does anyone have experience jacking a long-body Mooney with the nose jacking point?  As I understand, you have to have an extended/threaded jacking point you screw-into the engine mount just forward of the firewall on the port side.  Do you still need to weigh the tail?  I'm not a fan of using either an engine hoist or jacking from the prop / hub.  Just looking for coaching...

Hi gofast.

You are absolutely correct.  The jacking point is part of the engine mount and you are spot on on the location as well.  There is a decal which says "hoist" and the jack point is just inside the cowling/fairing area.   No need to weight the tail either once you jack from this point.   With this feature, it's easy to get the nose off the ground without raising the rest of the aircraft.

Gofast,Mooney included 3 jackpoint adaptors..2 threaded cones for the under wing  and one extended one for the left engine mount jackpoint...un fortunately these are frequently missing or not returned by mechanics during annuals as was the case with my Bravo...no big deal..Laser sells permenent jackpoint /tiedown ringgs made of stainless and you leave them there..for the front jackpoint I obtained a 5/16 button head screw that wont slip off a jack(I use a #324 aircraft spruce 24 " jack)and like Mitch says you can jackup any one wheel one at a time or all 3 for gear check...hope that helps...
