Pictreed Posted November 27, 2015 Report Posted November 27, 2015 How much was the 750 installed? You can pm if you'd like. Tim Quote
Bob_Belville Posted November 27, 2015 Report Posted November 27, 2015 I have a 750 and a 696. They DB cards work differently. The 750 needs to have a card in the socket when in use, I suppose some data is not uploaded to the GPS. The 696 card can be removed after it uploads the data to the GPS. That is unless you have a checklist or other owner generated info on the card in which case the card needs to be in the GPS to access that info. the 750 takes much less time to upload than the 696 does. Garmin has a package price for multiple installed units in a single panel. That does not help in the case where one is a portable. Quote
jamesm Posted November 27, 2015 Report Posted November 27, 2015 Boy sounds like King KNS-770 might be a better option.... I just read on the Seattle Avionics web site is offering for the first 200 people $799 one time price and lifetime for IFR & VFR charts. As it understand it the software covers Aspen , FlyQ and other products too. Quote
