WingsX just announced to give a free subscription to all flight instructors. Here is the drill: 

 

To get your free WingX Pro7 subscription:

  • Scan your CFI Certificate
  • Send an email to cfi@hiltonsoftware.com with the subject on "CFI Free!" and attach your scanned CFI Certificate

that's smart: get the students seeing all their CFI's using WingX... good advertising!

 

that is smart.  that was the main reason I went with foreflight; my cfii was using it.

WingX Pro and Foreflight were the earliest tablet apps and their competition with each other on features and functions the main reason we have all we have today. They both continue to improve!

Pretty slick move. Most primary flight instructors end up being the Mom or Dad figure for their student during flight training. I know that is how I got started on Jepps.

Go get your CFI even if you don't plan on instructing.

Nah. Instructing makes you a better pilot. I don't think getting the certificate does.

When you are instructing, you are a better pilot because you get to sit in the "genius" seat

My experience has been that Flight Instructing makes you a better psychiatrist.
