Yesterday, while flying, my wife sitting in the right seat remarks:  "Something hit my foot".  She then proceeds to show me a small light bulb with an aluminum screw in enclosure, with a slot for light to exit.    It looks a lot like the post style lights, but none of those are missing.

So, any clues on where to start looking?   What is under the right hand side of the panel that might have a light like that?  Something far enough back to be behind the panel.  I'm thinking the best way to find it is to head out to the airport one evening this week and see what doesn't light up.

Glareshield light. I've had a couple pope out before.

Where is the glareshield light socket located?

I'm headed to the airport Thursday night and will start looking for socket locations, as well as take a picture of the part.

Mulro767 wins the prize!  Does anyone have a part number for the fixture, and where would I get another fixture?  I also assume there is an LED bulb replacement?

If it is a 330 or 327 bulb, you can get the LED version from Aircraft Spruce. That said, it looks like the light comes through the slot. Not sure an LED will work if the light is expected to come from the side like an incandescent.

Talk about oddball lights. In my 67F, there is one tucked under the bottom of the panel that can be dimmed. I think it's so you can see the fuel selector.
