Very much hoping for Mooney International's success. Does anyone know how many new plane orders are contracted to date?

On that note, I wonder when Mooney will begin to fill their parts inventory?

Called Don Maxwell today to replace a broken exterior visual wing gauge, which I use at every fueling.

Broken sensory needle and fractured plexi cover. They called Mooney to get a delivery time and was informed to not expect before late Nov.

It's been a while, but seems I can remember NASA launching a Saturn 5 in less than a week.

What would we do without customer service??

Try another MSC. These should be on a shelf. They only last 10-15 years at best...

They are relatively easy to pop out and seal in the new one.

Best regards,

I suspect they are probably still working to re-establish their financial relationships with their suppliers.

I got one of the wing gauges from Airparts of Varo Beach several years ago. Be careful. The gauges are different for different models.

At the press conference in Oshkosh they mentionned 14 airplanes if I recall right? It is probably a few more at this date.

10 of the 14 are reportedly Chinese.

Wouldn't surprise me. Was talking to a Japanese national today and she mentioned most pilot hopefuls are going to China now from Japan to learn to fly because it's so much cheaper there. Sounds like Chinese aviation is really picking up.

True, but many come here, probably to get the coveted US certificate. Ditto for Brazil.

Agreed.  I'm in Phoenix and the TransPac Flight School at DVT is 90% Chinese students.  I was at the local MVD branch last Friday and there was a van there from TransPac dropping all the new students get IDs.  They had just gotten into the country and were all speaking Chinese together.  As you can imagine, this creates quite the challenge for trying to communicate in the pattern over DVT.

I get more and more radio events where ATC is having issues with Chineese student pilots coming around here as part of their cross-country. I think their English training should be done before they are allowed to fly away like this. I could feel the ATC frustration...

Different language, same issue in South Florida.
