I see you also have a Jeep...That's all you need :)    A Mooney and a Jeep.

I've got a 2013 Yukon...only 950 miles. Getting ready to EBay the Yukon. I'm a Mooney/Jeep kinda guy. I flew today. Should have washed and waxed the Mooney. Priorities? If a Mooney or a Jeep can't get ya there you don't need to go that bad. I've had 5 vettes..all done.

Even that's not as fast as MY Mooney!

What does your J do again? This Vette will do 175 MPH -- unfortunately no tail winds...

Not today but last week. How about an SL600 to replace the Vette? And you can even be faster than Mike's Mooney.

I think I could own a Yugo and be faster than Mike's Mooney.

Haha.  No doubt.  For sure it would get off the ground faster.........

To this day, when I saw you and him take off, I thought I lost a couple of friends. That was scary... Never seen a Mooney use up so much runway.

I shouldn't say that... Me and my mistress have the same problem.

Yves, you're going? What days are you going to be there? I'm planning to pop in for just Mon-Weds

Yes Mike, I will be there from Sunday to Thursday. I am part of the Mooney caravan. If you come to the Mooney Caravan tent on Monday at 6PM, a bunch of MooneySpacers will show up there to socialize. Looking forward to see you. There is another thread that lists all Mooney events during the week.

Ok cool. It's my first time going to Oshkosh. Hope I can figure out how to get around and find yas.

On my previous message I referred to the Mooney tent... I meant the Mooney Caravan tent! Mooney (the company) will also have a tent. Ours will be north 40. I'll post a map next time I get on the computer.

I was in Charlotte last week for some training. My coworker was there also and had a friend from high school who is a long time employee of Rick Hendrick Racing. She invited us to come over for a behind the scenes tour of the racing shops and his personal car collection. The car collection had to be one of the largest Corvette collections that exist. There were over 150 corvettes and another 200 or so other old cars that were either completely original or fully restored. We were not allowed to bring a camera in, but I found this single video online that shows some of the cars. The video does not do the collection or building it is housed in justice. The race shops were truly a 1st class manufacturing facility.

You'll have no trouble with the Fisk arrival procedure, Mike, if that is what you are referring to. I have managed it many times, but without some local guidance would never attempt that VFR Hudson River tour that you took us on a few weeks ago.

Jim

Are you serious? I've actually been putting off Oshkosh forever. This'll be my first one in 10 years of aviating. First I didn't own a plane so I didn't want to go. Then I got my Mooney but felt too inexperienced, then had overlapping commitments. This is the first time I feel reasonably prepared enough to be able to attend but have been worried about that FISK arrival. You really think it isn't as bad as the Hudson? I fly that all the time. But originally I was asking how I'll find the Mooney tent or Caravan tent in the midst of everything at Osh.

Sorry for stealing the thread. It was getting boring anyway :P

Two sets of eyes makes it easy as flying the Hudson.....

Lots of traffic all heading to the same few colored spots on the ground...

It's a blast, bring a tent, comfy shoes, a fistful of dollars, and a chair for observing the show...

Probably good to have an ice box device...

Most importantly....

BUG spray....

Best regards,

OK Mike, The Mooney Caravan Tent shall be located somewhere within the red area...there will be some banners with the Mooney name.

Wait a minute Mike... we are not talking about a camping tent here. OK... you New-Yorkers want it all ready for you... no work needed... key in hand, ready to eat... right? Fine... here is last years' tent picture... to help you a little... if you can't discriminate between that and a camping tent you ought to get a new pair of glasses... cheers...
