philipneeper Posted July 19, 2014 Report Posted July 19, 2014 Hello Mooneyspacers, I found out my Mooney has an Motorola alternator dating back to original factory installed. estimated at minimum 2700 hours on it. Im looking to upgrade it, just for piece of mind but no one will accept it for a core charge really. So the question is, does anyone have an ALY-8520 or a plane power laying around? Looking for 78 C with O360-A1D. Thanks
Guest Posted July 20, 2014 Report Posted July 20, 2014 Are you,sure it's not an Interav installation? While most aviation accessory companies can't or won't touch them any good automotive electric shop should be able to replace the brushes and bearings for you. Clarence
