orionflt Posted May 13, 2014 Author Report Posted May 13, 2014 the big problem with moving it was exactly that, Mothers day....but i did think about that I'm toying with the idea of doing something july 4th time frame, just have to see when they are doing fireworks. sitting on the ramp you can see 2-3 firework shows and we never have to deal with traffic when it's time to leave. we don't get to see the ground show or some of the lower displays but it's still a very enjoyable. Marauder Posted May 14, 2014 Report Posted May 14, 2014 Chris your welcome.......By the way , that was my best landing in quite some time...how did you like the Beech......... Its OK we wont tell anyone...... I wasn't sure what to expect. I had heard about the famous V tail sway, but even though we were in some turbulence, it was a non event. I was impressed with the approach and how smooth the landing was. Now flying over in the Lancair iVP was really impressive. 180 KIAS in the climb at 1500 FPM with 3 on board on a hot day and cruising at 240 KIAS with the power pulled back was indeed impressive. Bob let me fly it over to the airport. It would take me some time to get used to the side controls, but the speed was addicting. 1 Quote
