Sllabrasca Posted January 25, 2014 Report Posted January 25, 2014 Hi gang. Looking for a fuel cap for my '65 M20C. The one I have now is almost impossible to get the tab down. Maybe it can be fixed but not sure how? Quote
Hector Posted January 25, 2014 Report Posted January 25, 2014 Put a couple of drops of oil from the engine dipstick right on top of the cap. It will be good as new. That's what I do when mine gets stiff and it fixes it every time Quote
Sllabrasca Posted January 25, 2014 Author Report Posted January 25, 2014 Thanks. I'll try that first thing tomorrow. I figured there was some maintenance trick. Quote
robert7467 Posted January 25, 2014 Report Posted January 25, 2014 Try lining up the notches before you put the cap on Quote
Hank Posted January 25, 2014 Report Posted January 25, 2014 I give mine a squirt of Tri-Flow from time to time. Quote
Sllabrasca Posted January 26, 2014 Author Report Posted January 26, 2014 Thanks. I put a little dipstick oil on it and it is right as rain. Works great! Quote
