How much is the Sandel update?

My Aspen EFD1000 is reminiscent of a 1950's tv at 3 AM. It doesn't look like one can send them directly to Aspen. Any recommendations for a good Aspen repair shop? I am also considering MAX upgrade. What is the best way to do the upgrade? Thank you, Frank

Ki209a and KN75 would be a solution that works with your old radio and would provide value in the future. The KI209a works with all modern radios. This setup is even suitable for 90 degree bank as you can see in the picture :-)

The PMA7000 is compatible with the KMA24 molex connector. You have to exchange the tray and add a second molex connector with all the intercom wiring. I have the PMA7000 in combination with GNS430W and SL60 and like sound quality and functionality very much.

We have one of the MAC covers since 2012 and it is in better shape than our previous Bruce cover after 3 years. The only advantage of the Bruce cover compared to the Mac is the higher payload after the purchase due to totally depleting your wallet.

Before installing any USB plugs in the aircraft I would try them with a test set-up. I used very similar USB plugs and had a lot of static in the radio.

So far less than an hour, but I haven't connected it to static, temperature probe, and audio panel yet.

I still have my original analog yoke mounted clock. 1/2 of the time it lives underneath the IPAD, but it is still installed and functional.

I replaced the clock in our panel with the AV-20. So far I am very happy with it and paid the deposit for the AV30. I have not connected static and temperature probe. After installation is complete I will provide more information on the full range of functions.

Received the AV-20-S today. It comes with connector and pigtails. Hope to install it next weekend.

You don't need a download box if you have a laptop and install EzSave – Download flight data from EDMs I hard wired a d-sub connector in my panel for the USB to serial cable. If you have a port behind your panel all you need is a small cable with a connector matching your port on one end and a female 9 pin d-sub on the other and a run of the mill USB to serial cable. Let me know if you need help building the adapter cable.
