  1. Wow, I am actually surprised at the results thus far. I assumed many of you flew more often. I'm thinking that I should have added a second question: how often do you use your plane for buisness each week?
  2. It's on my to do list. Right now I am leaning towards the Insight G3. It'll fit on the pilot side and I was able to play with it at the AOPA summit, I really liked how easy it was.
  3. I try and fly at least once a week but feel like I should be flying more often.
  4. Curious how often people fly? Only personal flights, not for business.
  5. I will thanks. I wonder why they would not want you to seal the connection? Maybe a concern that a mech would accidently get some sealant in the line? The line isn't safety wired, without sealant what keeps the line from loosening?
  6. The company that ran the fueled ended their contract. The county has been unable to find another company to provide fuel.
  7. Well, 29 Palms will no longer have fuel available. I know ther are a few on this site that use it as a refuelling stop in their travels. I plan on putting a coment on AOPA's airport site as well to try and inform everyone who uses the airport. It is sad because the only reason anyone even stopped at this airport was for fuel. Anyone else out there at an airport that does not have fuel? Do you keep a couple 5 gallon jugs of avgas just in case? That is my plan. It's at least a 30 min flight to the next airport with fuel. I think this is the beginning of the end for this airport.
  8. Along the same as the ending of your story, I taxied up to fuel and saw some fuel leaking off my front gear door. Not knowing why it was there or how. I parked my plane and took off the left side panel. After looking around I found that I had a leak on my fuel flow meter that was spraying fuel almost onto my exhaust. Had a mech come out to check it and it was finger tight. After taking it off the mechanic who installed it put no sealant on the threads it had been lose since install. I'm extremely lucky I found the leak. Glad you found the problem and thanks for sharing. I'm pretty sure my wife would tell me the same thing if I ever get stuck somewhere.
  9. How many cameras do you have? Have you lost any?
  10. I have wifi only. I have not regretted that decision yet.

    That looks great!
  12. I think the ipad is still number one. All the aps are made for apple first (or so it seems) with android a distant second. Those with android platform can speak on there behalf. I have the ipad and could not be happier with its versatility.
  13. Congrats on your new (to you) Mooney!
  14. I use the dual gps with foreflight. It is my only gps. I haven't had any problems. Where I fly I can't get cell phone reception on the ground or in the air most of the time.
  15. Just FYI, LASAR has them at $290 for the pair.
  16. Did that happen while you were flying? I hope they cover it for you.
  17. Did anyone else think they were going to crash?
  18. I figured out that I could only post it from my computer not IPAD and I had to crop it down to 50Kb.
  19. So do you have to cut it down before it will let you upload? It won't even let me choose a photo for upload. Has anyone figured out the secret to uploading?
  20. My avatar was showing up wrong so I went to change it and now nothing. Are you working on a fix?
  21. Just FYI you can no longer search anything with less than four characters i.e. G3, EGT, LOP. I would love to hear from those that have installed the G2 or 3. I was also sold at the summit after playing with the G3.
  22. Trying to revive this thread. Has anyone else installed this?
  23. Maybe a stupid question, but have you tried a different headset?
  24. You can rent them here. http://www.hangartoolbox.com/Search.aspx
