    I watch it a couple times trying to see if there was any indication of what caused the crash. All I can guess is that the wing stalled and that close to the ground there was no recovery. IMHO. Very sad.

    I wonder how many think chute first, fly second when an issue arises. I think the chute is a good safety feature along with an autopilot with straight and level. But I truly believe without the proper training and mindset they are both useless.

    Thanks. This is as straightforward as it sounds. I don't know why he would push off verifying this AD. Guess I will be looking for a new mechanic. Too bad there are no others on my field. Thanks everyone.

    The mechanic that did my annual told me he didn't have the equipment to check the AD. He said I would have to go to an engine shop. At the time the AD wasn't due. You guys are making it sound like he could just look at to comply with the AD. Does it require any other equipment? I just assume they would have some type of fix for this.

    What exactly are the requirements of this AD? I understand it to be a requiremenet to have my engines fuel lines checked every 100 hrs. This seems to be just as much a pain as the prop ad is/was or am I missing something?

    How can you tell who supports the program? I looked at the site and couldn't see anything that lets me know what FBO's support Airboss.

    Thats Mooney Space member Austinpyne. Sorry to see that. I wonder if he'll let us know if it was mechanical or forgetfullness. I know the story said the gear failed to come down but as well all know that story is garbage.

    Ok, so towers are closing regardless if we agree with it or not. Has anyone heard if the faa is going to update charts asap? Is the tower freq the unicom now?

    Insights G series is half the depth of the JPI 700. I was thinking of installing that in the same place. Haven't done the leg work to see if it will fit. It is 3.65" depth. http://www.insightavionics.com/pdf%20files/G3-G4-Size.pdf

    I must of hit a nerve, sorry. Sorry it appeared I only blamed one side or one branch. Both the executive and legislative branch have failed us. I'm sorry that our Country has made successful people the big bad wolves that should be hated and taxed into submission. I don't own a small buisness but I do watch fox news. I would watch other news agencies but I don't appreciate being misinformed. I wasn't refering to the gov employee forloughs which I know plenty about.
