  1. Brett , are you on Beechtalk yet.....It is an unbelievable resource.....
  2. Chris your welcome.......By the way , that was my best landing in quite some time...how did you like the Beech......... Its OK we wont tell anyone......
  3. I should have a complete pump assy , 100 if you want it ,
  4. Funny , My B model had round windows that were painted to look square...
  5. Narco Radios are very robust , and from a reliability standpoint are probably superior to King , It sounds like you are not getting a nav signal , which may not be a radio problem at all , Find someone with a KX155 and see if they will let you slide your radio in their tray , good quick and cheap test ......If the same problem exists its the radio , If not antenna related.....These are very inexpensive to repair......
  6. they go for about 125 , but right now I only have non was.....They go for 100 if anyone wants one....
  7. I have sold 15 of the cards in the last year , they fail.... Listen , I am just as frugal as the next guy , maybe even more so because of how I buy......but this is silliness.........And I am still a C.S.O.B. Cheap son of a Beech.......
  8. Seriously , you would risk your ass to save 80 dollars on a card for your 15000 dollar GPS , you need to step back and take a deep breath.....
  9. Don't listen to Pete , triangulation is how you find a plane in the ocean....not how you match up holes....Lipsick , paint , lasers all sound like good ideas.....
  10. The downspring tool is a roll of quarters , put the gear in a position where the spring is partially extended and slide the quarters between the coils , swing the gear manually until the spring is loose enough to slide off.....when you put it back in , manually extend the gear until the quarters fall out of the spring , and then collect the quarters when they fall out.....
  11. If you use the weight of the plane , and have someone sit on the wing , you will get enough compression to put the collar and screw on......With the nose gear , put a floor jack under the tailhook until one of the mains come off of the ground , and have two people pull down on each prop blade , you will get enough compression to put on the collar and screw , make sure you put the collar on with the correct side down or you will have shimmy issues....
  12. Scott , the only thing you will find under there is some old gooey sticks of Beemans , and Jimmy Hoffa (soaked in corrosion X ) ...
  13. Chris , If you need a ride I will get you......Should I bring the V tail or the backwards tail...... I have tail issues....
  14. I love the TCM system , it is simple compared to the Bendix , The reason they are so hard to start hot is because the spider , lines , and injectors are right on top of the engine and the hot engine boils all the fuel in the system out of the injectors and puts it into the cylinders .....It puts you into an almost ceartin flooding situation.......That is why you start a hot Lycoming at idle cutoff mixture , its already overprimed before you even get in it.....
  15. Dated out means absolutely nothing on part 91 aircraft , NOTHING, that is a 12 K engine , do you think Lasar would buy the engine to break even???? They will flip it for 15 K and 3 K to install it , Post some pics of the rest of the plane.....AD prop is probably worth 1500 ,
  16. Dave if it is the non ad hub , I sold one last year for 5200 on barnstormers , if the engine has less than 700 hours , I sold one last year on barnstormers for 10 K and it sold in days , Lasar bought from me the nose gear assy , fuel valve , nose gear doors and control rods for 1600.00 There is some real factual info from someone who has done it , If you were on the east coast , I would give you almost 10 K for the plane.........Good luck whatever you decide on......
  17. Actually , that would be Pete Townshend....
  18. It is easier to part out this plane , and start over with another , This plane in todays market can be replaced for 25 to 30 K , it can be parted out for an easy fast 18 K it will cost 20 K to repair ...... Lets do a little math here ....20 K plus 18 K = 38 K .......38 K - 25 K = 13 K It will only cost you 13 K more to do a repair on an old corroded airframe....... Stop painting a Rosy unrealistic picture for this guy..... This thread is getting really silly.....
  19. If you want the 5th seat I removed from my Beech , knock your self out......
  20. The plane does does not fit the mission...
  21. Also factor in that you will more than likely be doing a reseal on the tanks.......7K.....
  22. Or they have an A&P IA .....
  23. Just buy a used 610 for 200 dollars , and you will get your numerical readout.... Also a simple swap out ......
  24. Has this been confirmed yet???
  25. Looking for an aileron trimmer for an early E model , It is the one located on the yoke.....Call Alan 856 419 5209.....
