    I'm sorry. Missed your post. I have the trainer waiting on a mag and in annual. The traveler is still in question. I have an Fmodel possibility with good chance of getting the go ahead.

    I have an opportunity to partner in a '64 Comanche 250. It is the carbureted, O-540 engine, four seater. I know nothing about them other than what I just read on Wikipedia. Definitely not my first choice for an aircraft but the opportunity is there regardless. Do you have some thoughts on this bird and would like to share?

    Found these numbers. I cannot tell if the first numeral is the letter 'K' or the Roman numeral 'IX' ? That's what it sort of looks like to me. This is on the larger prop.

    Look at what I dug out of my parents storage. No clue what the big 8footer came off of but it's cool. Definitely the real deal.

    So that is around 240mph ground speed? 1860miles ÷ 7.75 hours? Correct math?

    Was the timing set to 20° or 25°? Sounds like one of those instances where the timing was wrong for the engine.

    I am sure it has been discussed here before, just not finding it on the search function. It seems fairly straight forward, nothing too intricate. Are there naysayers to the flush procedure? Any reason not to do it? savvy-oil-control-ring-solvent-flush.pdf
