    I think we have been down this road, unless I have missed an update. The STC holder passed away. The widow had no desire nor inclination to support the STC, nor would she sell it. I think thats the gist of it. Did I miss something?

    Good morning Bryan. An Mooney F model I'm looking at to buy has a 430w and a 530. Two G5's, ADS out only Garmin transponder, JPI monitor, and an S-Tech 50 A/P. What would be your recommendation to make this panel "more" modern? Thanks David

    I was wondering the same thing. Can't be many. $40,000 for a "new" engine $30,000 for some semblance of modern avionics? Tank reseal I'm sure. Labor dollars not included. An A/P project of love....

    The papers I have, are dated. Good catch Dr. Clarence. There are some differences but not a terrible lot. There is one added section though and the whole checklist was revamped. Thanks........

    Johnson bar and pump flaps which I take as a positive. yes, I have my check list in hand and Dugosh is allowing me to assist in the inspection. Eyes wide open.

    I guess my question is: Is it easy to tell the difference between the ARI cowl, J type, or Lopresti? I think the Lopresti has round inlets, and not J style, but that is all I think I know.

    I have scheduled a pre-buy on a '67 F. It has what I believe is a J cowl and windscreen conversion. No throttle quadrant. Is there anything specific to those modifications that we should look at in the inspection. Any kind of "got ya"? How do I know if it is a J cowl and not someone different ?

    I have scheduled an inspection with Dugosh. I asked for and recieved what their pre-buy entails. They handed me the Mooney 100hr inspection guide. $1800. I read the two sheet inspection. Seems pretty thorough to me. I am paying extra to borescope the cam. Should I ask for anything more to be done?
