  3. Small world. Was driving away from my hangar this morning and saw a lovely plane in the back of the maintenance hangar. I stopped, got out, and checked her out. Googled the tail number and found her here. Amazing paint job in person.
  4. If this isn't the right place, sorry and please move. Im considering one 50% partner in my 1964 Mooney M20E. Insurance said plane books at $69k, we have obviously more than that into it with the recent panel redo. We own the plane outright and will be putting it in an LLC if this idea goes anywhere. Idea is coming from a few different places that I can explain to any interested parties. Plane is hangared at ASI in KDAY and that's non negotiable to me.

  6. Lol on blood. Was reading up on donating plasma for one of my broke employees and found they pay you by your body weight. I always tell my dogs to get a job.   7. Seems to me that among the reasons new Cirrus planes sell so well is the "feel" and "look" - did anyone see how gaudy the 7000 edition planes were? But they're limited run that provably commands a stupid premium. Bringing Porsche on board to nail the interior, paint, and special edition dramatic effect seems to make great sense.   10. So there's down time for the upgrade? If its just plug and play, why not have the max on hand secured with a core charge that gets refunded once your old one is returned.   17. Really seems like the GFC500 is goong to be the best inexpensive digital autopilot coming near term. That requires a g5 or 2. Brining this back up to see if my ifd440 will work with dual g5s and a gfc500.

  20. I was finally able to get this plane out of KSCA on Saturday, July 14th. Mechanic said initially Mid January. Only 6 months past due. New home is at Aviation Sales at KDAY. I was really intimidated going to a class C facility not having hardly any communication experience with such a large field but its great. Glad I did. Lined up Jeff Schnabel as my Mooney CFI. Found him thru the mooney flier or foundation. Really, really cool guy and a great pilot. We flew Saturday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for a total of 10.3 hrs. Insurance asked for 5 instructor 5 solo. He signed the complex endorsement too. 99.x hrs in my logbook and I'm now a mooney pilot! I can't say enough good about this plane. I've been giddy like a kid on Christmas all this week. Even told my wife that I would go thru all the hassle again for this outcome. Absolutely love the lynx transponder. The pma450a is pretty slick. Absolutely would NOT own a plane without this EDM900. Positioning in the panel is perfect. Still uncertain on the ifd440 honestly. It works fine and is pretty clever. Just wondering if i should have gone with a 650 or 750 / g5s so then the gfc500 plays well. Guess i still can but that's for later, and may never come to be anyways. We'll find out first clues next week but my gut tells me my wife is pregnant with twins. [emoji16] Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

  24. Dynon is saying skyview HDX mooney approval 4th q this year and EMS and AP 2nd q 19. I'm on the fence as to a full skyview, engine monitor, and autopilot next year or an aspen and tru trac this fall. Watching the dynon videos it seems they spank the tru trac.   25. New headliner and carpet is *finally* installed. Was supposed to be doing transition training this week. May be lucky to get one lesson in this week and one this weekend. Have an 8 hr drive or much shorter flight in 2 weekends to Atlantic City NJ if i feel good in it by then. Would love to fly to NYC at night on a hot date w my wife if we do fly to vacation.
