  2. Pacific flyers in OKB also has an M20K Encore for rent for 290.
  3. How do you like it so far compared to the bravo?
  4. Im up the street from you and in okb or crq every 2 to 3 weeks. Shoot me a pm
  5. @CAV Ice
  6. I would be between a screaming eagle, an encore, or a missile. All can be had with great useful loads. The power of the missle and the screaming eagle is very nice. As @Parker_Woodruff stated useful load is very important to me and with the screaming eagle conversion and a full panel exchange i was able to get my useful load up to 1216 pounds. I can easily take 4 people, baggage and a good chunk of fuel. No AC and no tks, have most of what i actually use.
  7. Are they silicon baffles? The change from the stock baffles to the Geebee ones made a massive difference. I remember it being about 20 to 25 degrees change. If i remember correctly, they were 400 bucks and took about 3 to 4 hours to install.
  8. Have you done the baffles offered by GeeBee. For the rocket is there a pixie hole modification like there was for the ovations and acclaims?
  9. Youd still need to have primary gauges.
  10. Youll need an engine monitor of some sort.
  11. I think this has the 7498 prop aswell. Id include that in the description since its a faster prop. What cruise and fuel flow do you usually see.
  12. Would these work on an io550? Obviously id need to buy 4 more but is it the right size?
  13. My statement wasn't trying to ridicule anyone. The way these things start is usually through a humorous joke. People like or dislike the joke and someone takes it that given joke the wrong way, and then theres a possibile shitstorm that starts. Its been seen on other threads and threads have been removed because of it. I definetely can see the humor behind the picture, but some people sadly take it personally and then its just fuel on the fire im not trying to call anyone out specifically.
  14. @exM20K The political comments have since been deleted. They were there initially when Eric and I made the statement. With those comments now deleted, the context of our posts don't make any sense.
  15. It doesnt matter if its politics or reality. Who knows, i might even agree with you. I might not. But this is a forum for aviation related topics. And biden/trump caused/didn't cause this is not aviation related. Just keep the politics out of it. Its not that hard.
  16. Can we please keep politics out of this?
  17. I am not. I just wanted to let any potential buyer know that this is the correct prop for an Ovation or Eagle.
  18. If the conditions were VFR i think I'd rather do this VFR. Both the PHL and NY class B top out at 7,000 feet. I'd probably do this flight at 10,500 ft and fly direct from KBDR to waypoint SUTBE, then RIISE, and then KFME. I don't know what you fly, but at 140 knots climb speed climbing at 1000ft average up to 7000,ft , it would probably take me about 10 minutes to fly direct from KBDR to the closest point of NY's Class B. With that being the case, I'd already be over 7000ft in which case I don't have any airspace to worry about until the I need to deal with the SFRA. I'd personally climb up to 10.5 so It would be less likely to be vectored around. I'd start my decent right around the time I pass KEVY airport and plan to be at a max altitude of 3000ft by the time I'm at the SUTBE waypoint. Thereafter, I'd continue down to 1300ft and stay under the BWI class B airspace. I used RIISE as the next waypoint just as a measure to fly around the Bravo airspace going all the way down to the surface, and then land at FME. I've spent countless hours flying around Bravo airspaces, and 90 percent of my flights have me flying under, over, or within the bravo airspace. they're easy to navigate as long as you know what you need to stay clear of. If anything, ask ATC for help and most of them are willing to help you out.
  19. Is this not a 7693 prop. I looked up the blade number and couldnt find anything?
  20. I called yesterday and they picked up. ordered 2 washers from them.
  21. I presume you'd be buying his old prop?
  22. I was exactly in the same position as you. 2 blade mac on my eagle. They won't sell you the STC, however if you buy the screaming eagle conversion, AKA the O3 310HP conversion, the STC for the Prop is in that so you wouldn't need one for the prop on top of the 310hp conversion. I was originally between buying a brand new acclaim Type S prop (7498) without the 310hp STC, or the Ovation prop (7693) used without an STC and get the O3 conversion. In the end, I took the 310HP with the used prop since on my eagle it gave me a 70hp boost, a 170 pound gross weight increase, and significantly better takeoff and climb performance, and it ended up being the cheaper option. In your case, if you go the 310hp with the used prop it'll give you a 30hp boost, and significantly better climb and takeoff performance. If you take the Acclaim Type S prop, it'll be probably a bit better cruise speed, a little better climb performance, and a little better takeoff distance. Shoot me a PM or give me a call and I'll guide you through the process in order to do the used prop route. I will say the 310HP is a completely different animal. With just myself, and 35 gallons, Takeoff roll is about 600 to 700ft, initial climb was +2000ft on a mid temperature day climbing out at 105 knots for fun at sea level
  23. I'd probably look at the Electro air as well. Is it an option to just ask for no mags? Electro air might possibly have duel EIS in the very near future.
  24. What about an switching it out with an LED. You could probably leave a tiny LED on for ages without having to worry about running the battery down.
  25. Looks like I'm going to be figuring this out soon. Would these bolts work with the added spacer? https://robinsonheli.com/3-column/shop/parts/r44-parts/bolt-112/
