    Heat

    I have an ovation/ eagle and not an acclaim but in my experience, the heat in my plane works very very well. Its been -25 up high and i had to turn the heat off because it was getting too hot.
  3. Its pricey but ive heard recommendations of the cygnet switches on beechtalk and bit the bullet on 2 of those. They are 50 bucks each, so kind of pricey, but have a really nice feel to them. I like them a lot personally. They dont let you order online. You have to call them so they can help you make sure youre getting exactly what youre looking for. Nik

  6. a bravo and ovation are more comparable in prices, but a J versus a bravo isn't. The bravo is going to be significantly more to maintain and own than the J is. Nothing against the bravo. It just has a more expensive engine and uses a little more than double the amount of fuel. A J is about the most efficient certified 4 place aircraft there is to own. a bravo is not.

  9. Couldnt you just simply remove the cutout, essentially removing the low fuel part of the annunciator? Then theres nothing to be inop since the annunciation isnt there.
  10. Why not get a g5 hsi instead of the 106? If you have no autopilot, you can hook up the sl30 and the 355 to it.
  11. I was going to recommend what @Ragsf15e said. Why not a 7inch G3X MFD with EIS. Or even a 10 in G3X with EIS and get rid of one of the 275's.

  13. I took mine out and simply made my own personal annunciation panel. I didnt want a bunch of annunciators for only 3 or 4 to be used.

  16. Do you mean 550N? The G comes stock on the ovation and eagles and the stc doesnt play into those. If youre talking about the STC for the 310HP. I presume you mean the IO550N.

  18. Well i know its been a while but ive still been trying to figure out this issue. I took my outboard sender out and it looks completely different than what it replaced. @fuellevel have any ideas by any chance?
  19. I had my pitch servo go bad so I've been hand flying it the last couple months while I was waiting for Garmin to send one. My avionics installed a new one 3 days ago, and 2 days ago I got a call saying that the servo I received was part of a bad batch that has an SB on it. The panel is perfect, but at this moment not completely perfectly functional. Still can't complain compared to the old panel it replaced.
  20. I dropped my plane off at an avionics shop a couple days ago and they mentioned a G4X.

I had an install back in 2020 and had a failed pitch servo and have been hand flying the plane for the last month. The replacement was installed yesterday and of course this morning i get a call from the shop saying i got a bad one. Just a heads up for anyone else that bought a GFC500.

  22. Its on the G3X. On the g3x its the exact same as that unit.
  23. I'm not saying I like it more. In the previous thread @GeneralT001 said he liked the layout of the 6 pack. This gives you the info on the g3x while keeping the conventional 6 pack. I would bet money though, at the end of the day, he'll go with the tapes.
  24. G3X and G5. You will be able to get so much more information with that setup compared to the GI275. And you'll be able to see it better too. The G3X can also be setup to show gauges instead of tapes.
