  1. Gee bee baffle kit
  2. On the K and later models they offered a 3 place bench seat in the back. For kids you can make it work ish. Still not worth it imo. My parents K model had it and it was alright when i was 5 or 6. Looking at it now, a 36 would be the way to go.
  3. If you need 5 seats, dont waste your time with a mooney and get a saratoga, cherokee six, 210, a36, or other 6 seat variant.
  4. You can put a mccauley on an acclaim?
  5. Im in boulder. I dont have my cfii or my cfi for that mater, however i have the same panel as you in my mooney. If you want help, im more than happy to help. I know the ins and outs of the g3x and the gfc500 pretty well and can definetely show you have to navigate it. Shoot me a pm if youre interested.
  6. IO550G is 509 lbs. CD300 is 584. IO360 is like 350 lbs. adding 220 pounds on the nose might be pretty hard. However compared to the TSIO550, the CD300 is only like another 30 lbs heavier. CD300 might be a great option for the Acclaim and Bravo.
  7. Scosche magnet
  8. I wish my mooney was as efficient as yours. That MPG is insane.
  9. How much is a kit going to be?
  10. Was it weighed with 81 tks tanks full or empty? Its supposed to be weighed with the tank full, so when the tks tank is empty adds somewhere between 50 and 100lbs.
  11. Could be a bravo with AC and TKS?
  12. bas aviation has a totaled bravo and ovation. I'd call there first.
  13. If youre only getting 200fpm at 9000ft, something is wrong.
  14. a new weight and balance doesn't need to be done. However it is worth while in my opinions since you can never have too much useful load. It's a small difference, but multiple small differences add up to a big one.
  15. Good luck with that. Youll climb but super super slowly. If you want to fly max gross at high density alt, look at 252s, bravos, rockets and acclaims. Ovations and eagles with the 310hp conversion would also do okay but not nearly as well as the 4 listed before.
  16. Id say K mainly to easily get up high where the air is cool.
  17. You could probably get it to 22,000ft if you took the time and youre heavy. M20s service ceiling was 20,000ft witth 244hp at 3200lbs.
  18. You'll need a hartzell 3 blade. You have the choice between the acclaim type s or ovation prop for alu. Theyre the same price and the acclaim prop is 3 to 5 knots faster and lighter, so if youre purchasing a new prop, the type s is the way to go. You also have the Carbon hartzell prop as an option but it is rather pricey. Mt makes a 4 blade carbon prop that can be used aswell. I believe hartzell alu is right around 13k, mt carbon is around 18k and the hartzell carbon is around 25 to 30k. Id probably recommend the type S prop. Next youll need to have your governer switched to one ending in T20. Stc can be bought from @AGL Aviation for 4995 dollars. Increase the fuel flow to 28 to 31gph, and install a tach if yours cant be changed or adjust the jpi, garmin, ei or what ever unit you have to display a 2700rpm redline.
  19. I don't think you're asking enough
  20. Everyone that has the o2d2 loves it. I havent heard bad things about it. I want one badly.
  21. All long bodies have fully articulating seats. Means even if you get a pre 04 LB, you should still have no issue seeing over the dash.
  22. I will do it but youd probably want someone closer to be honest. Pm me if youre interested. Nik
  23. I use 5.8 because i read somewhere that fuel is a lot lighter at higher temps, which in sothern california, it usually is. I guess looking back at that its kind of dumb but oh well. Been slowly creeping the useful load up as ive owned the plane so i guess i dont need to worry about 5.8 compared to 6. I think next is going to be an MT prop.
