  1. Apperently theres a ca loophole for sales tax. If the first year the plane is out of california for more than half the year, the sales tax gets waved. I learned that from a buddy who bought a half million dollar bo. I wish I knew that before I bought my Slowvation.
  2. If its an excel, im pretty sure you can upload it on the forum post.
  3. Maybe the mixture of the engine at idle needs to be adjusted. If leaning doesnt work, I'd guess that means you need to add some fuel. By the way, this isn't the mixture you haveat your hand, but the screw under the cowling. Most mechanics with big bore TCMs will be able to help you.
  4. As far as i have read on here, rocket still supports the rocket and missile completely. @aviatoreb and @M016576 are 2 guys that have experience owning these airplanes. Maybe they can chime in.
  5. Have you thought of a 252 rocket maybe? Has the speed upgrade you're looking for and has the upgrades of a 252 that the 231 doesnt have.
  6. I think the jump would be worthwhile to an acclaim type s and only that. Maybe if other variables were included like wanting tks or ac that might help, but in the end, if its just speed, the difference isnt big enough to justify an upgrade from a 231 to a bravo in my opinion, unless youre looking for money to burn. If youre looking for money to burn, just send it.
  7. 130320-501 And 340293-507 on a newer gx and dx model
  8. Does anyone know of any salvaged mooney acclaims or post 04 ovations that would be in a salvage yard. Looking at possibly doing a project for the future and figured I might as well start looking for the parts now. Thanks Nik
  9. Might want to post this on beechtalk, POA, and piper forum.
  10. Whats the name of the guy that responded. Id like to shoot them a call.
  11. If 2 can fit in an acclaim and 1 can fit in a bravo why cant one fit an ovation?
  12. I have been looking for hangars for a while around Denver and still have no luck. Would any one be able to point me in a good direction of where to look or who to talk to? I'm looking mainly for BJC, EIK, BDU, and after that APA, and LMO are options aswell. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks again Nik
  13. If they could include the eagle under the same STC I think I would be interested. Ovation and Eagle share the same parts catalog. Ever since moving to denver, a turbo doesn't sound half bad.
  14. A missile or a mid 90s slovation would probably do the trick. The O with 310hp will operate out of the 2700ft runway just fine even on a hot day at full gross.
  15. probably a lot with that low total time. 400 to 500K would be a guess.

  17. A properly priced plane will sell quickly regardless.
  18. 300 to 500 hours will be done in like 2 years. If you plan to upgrade, take that money you were gonna spend and save it for the bravo or 252 2 years down the line. Avionics upgrades like that arent worth it for a plane youre owning that short. Just throw an insight g2 in there for the engine monitor and call it a day.
  19. Im out of town til the 28th, but ill send you pictures when i get home. Nik
  20. I think i might have a vsi off a 1999 eagle. Probably not that exact model but might work. Nik
  21. Id probably start by increasing the fuel flow to 27. After that baffles will do wonders. Mine knocked off about 25 to 40 degrees. Nik
  22. What baffles do you have. Whats your takoff fuel flow and do you have 280 or 310 hp?
  23. Gee bee baffle kit
  24. On the K and later models they offered a 3 place bench seat in the back. For kids you can make it work ish. Still not worth it imo. My parents K model had it and it was alright when i was 5 or 6. Looking at it now, a 36 would be the way to go.
