  1. Glad they made it through their wing testing descent. Lived to tell the tale. Sobering.
  2. Three blade McCaulley that works with Sabre's cowl mod. No complaints in over a decade of operation. Speed-130-160 knots 10LOP (depending on winds) Vibration-What vibration? Weight Penalty-935lbs useful load. Has not been an issue Service-Not yet overhauled. Hung in 13 years of operation. Climb-Over 1000'/Min pitched for 120MPH up to at least 4K (unless high density) Summary-Excellent! Decent/Slowing Down-Definitely does slow plane down with a pull of power. Like having a speed brake out front Ramp Appeal-Superior to a two blade (more from large bullet polished spinner than extra blade) Summary-Looks great
  3. I have used collapsible crates I bought at Theisen's with success. They fold up quite flat and can be loaded through the baggage door and expanded in the back seat. I load dogs by lifting through the baggage door and into the crate, zip and go. They are inexpensive and softer so they don't damage anything going in and out. There is a Velcro type material on exterior bottom that sticks to seats (mine are cloth) and keeps crate from shifting. They come in multiple sizes. They are a cloth vs. metal material. Mesh windows on sides and ends so you can see them sleeping
  4. Rebate received. An end to the chapter. Pretty good turn time for Federal Government.
  5. I could actually care less about the registration. Take it or leave it. Agree that registering RC models is silly. Much ado about nothing...Pretty sure the abusers, like registered gun owners are not going to be the problem.
  6. Meanwhile my generator with updated controller just keeps quietly soldiering on without any issue whatsoever...
  7. As Paul Harvey used to say: "and now for the rest of the story". Totally agree that putting a lot of money into a panel that you plan to part with in a year is silly. Adding that after second sentence in the first post would have made me move on without comment. Being a CB NOW makes sense to this CB. Carry on...
  8. I replaced all of cluster except fuel gauges. The receiver and whole plug remained as he said there might be issues with removing it while keeping the fuel gauges. RULES ARE RULES I guess.
  9. Ignorance is bliss.
  10. You will know if I am "pissed off".
  11. To me it is a complement. Made me read his. Quid pro quo. I bought my first engine monitor for .3 AMU's. There is CB and there is silly.
  12. Thank God. I wouldn't want to know what idiot that operates their drone outside of guidelines and causes damage or personal injury. $5 bucks is a steep price to pay for registration... What a bizarre world...
  13. Have fun with your rufurbed from sketchy 50+ year old analog gauges. Since you want no input on why they are not as reliable, safe, accurate, functional as any of the numerous modern gauges I have no input for you. If there was a CB weekly award I would nominate you sir. Congratulations and a hearty salute.
  14. Great stuff! Nice write-Up Jolie. Glad this story received a wide audience.
  15. I know this guy who is a gossip. He repeats other second hand stuff.....
  16. I am a VFR pilot and my co-owner is not IFR current. It just doesn't make sense for us.
  17. Thanks for doing this map and adding me Paul.
  18. I asked for details on the "What" of the annual and there has been crickets...
  19. Rebate approved and on the way... Nice.
  20. I think the STC for the enclosure is aircraft specific so........
  21. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING ABOUT THIS. I am HIGHLY skeptical, until proven otherwise. I am a longtime Phillips X/C and Camguard user.
  22. What was $7 grand? What was "done"?
  23. OK, probably should be another thread, but I call B.S. on burns no oil at all comment. I run 6 quarts and add when down below that level. I have found that my/these engines DO use oil when running well. I add a quart on average every 6-10 hours. An engine uses "some" oil in a healthy state. Not excessive, but no oil at all? Not in my experience...
  24. "Different" is a strength and beautiful thing. World is starting to wake-up to that. I hope you achieve your bucket-list goal/dream. I am rooting for you.
