  1. Very nice, always thought those types of reservoirs were cheesy (Piper, Beech, etc....)
  2. @MyNameIsNobody There are 4 rollers per seat.....at least on mine, but it seems mine are the only ones that are metallic, everyone else's seems to be non-metallic
  3. My 248 hr CFII (good kid) that started my commercial made the comment, the manual gear truly makes it a complex aircraft
  4. The flight review should be held to the ratings you have, not the ones he would like you to meet. Years ago on my Private ck ride I planted the little 150 firmly on the ground (borderline hard landing), DPE said it was a little hard and I explained it was windy as hell, his response was go back around, second landing was identical (maybe a little softer) he said that was the same as the first, my response was "Yep, so was the wind"...taxied back to the hangar and he gave me my temporary airman certificate...
  5. come on bud.....I dont want to be the only one left with that ugly ass antenna
  6. The nice thing about gaining a rating is it resets the clock on the BFR. My regular CFI is now a DPE, been having trouble finding a CFI to finish up my Commercial so I can move on to CFI. My last BFR was done during the 5hr Mooney time the insurance required,
  7. BFR's are fairly none eventful, an hour on the ground and an hour in the air. The one I enjoyed the most was done at night with a vacuum pump failure. Grab a CFI and show them what you know, in return they will show you what you thought you knew. It's a mandatory excuse to fly.........
  8. Shouldn't that read "double bitch"?
  9. Do you have side tone on the co-pilots PTT?
  10. Isn't this backwards? Not wanting to start anything but grounding the wire at the sensor pegs the gauge or at least on mine
  11. PTT switches are a NO (normally open) switch, and as mentioned above it grounds one side of the Mic jack, I would have to look it up but I believe there is a "tip" and "ring" side of the jack, just can't remember which it goes to. You should have also heard it cutting in and out in your headset due to the side tone.
  12. Good to know, I have 2 that the check ball is missing, I have rubber caps on those and check them frequently
  13. When I spoke to them about the servo on the retractable step I mentioned that my PC was in-op and they offered and emailed manuals and bulletins with in the hour......great group to deal with, more than willing to help

You'll like the feel. Who's handy work?
  15. Come on Yetti, you know we have days where it's in the low 300's.........
  16. Moments and Arms are different, the Type Certificate Data Sheet will have the arms, post a copy of the latest WnB
  17. its sad that some just think of today as a "day off" or just a holiday.......
  18. I recently ordered new bushings and hardware from LASAR, the bolts sent were NAS bolts, wouldn't work, the grip length was three threads longer, bolts wouldn't have tightened up, tried to match up on Spruce with no joy. Luckily there was a guy on the field that has a large selection of NOS hardware and I was able to match them up. The issue was what was in there was a close tolerance bolt and it now crosses over to the NAS# which wouldn't work. Actually had ordered them twice, first order was totally wrong, second order the bushings were correct but the bolts were wrong, real pain to get corrected.
  19. Which bolt is it, and what does Mooney use for the description?
  20. 7784 listed
  21. I considered the LASAR cowl enclosure on my E, It does make it look better but I've heard both ways as far cooling & speed.
  22. I have several documents in PDF form related to the aircraft on my iPad, I create the doc on a PC and convert it to a PDF then email to my self and open it on the iPad. Checklists, POH or any doc for that matter can then be opened within Wing-X, works well (foreflight has the same capabilities).
  23. Nice work, very clean.
  24. I looked but couldn't find anything from Spruce, call Don, he might be able to tell you the # if Spruce carries them. It's my understanding that it is a large area washer, and you cut a slot for ease of installation, if you had all the dementions you might be able find the "AN" or "MS" number and get them that way
  25. Sort of.....these are Mooney #'s not Spruces, but Don can hook him up
