  1. Run new coax too
  2. Tough to see, on one pic you are adjusting the prop control and there is something that looks like what you were seeing. I see that the sun is coming in from the right (?) side of the aircraft. The sparks (?) seem to move in relation to your wrist as you adjust the prop control. I wonder if this is some kind of visible issue caused by the sun coming thru the plexi-glass window, older windows can cause weird stuff. Since you can record this I would try it again with the sun not coming in directly into the cockpit. Could be static build up on aircraft - but from the flight conditions in your video I dont think this would be the case??
  3. 1998 MOONEY M20R OVATION For Sale in Redmond, Washington | Controller.com
  4. Wow, look at that fuel flow

  6. Where was the plane born? - in Canada its whole life? There might be something there.
  7. They are requested here on the FAA website. Request Aircraft Documents (faa.gov)
  8. Thats been my experience also, about a week.
  9. I hope you are nice to her. I owned her for ten years or more and did the interior and paint. Interior at Salem, OR, painted later at Sunquest in Everett, WA with new glass all around. Scheme Designers did the layout. She had 980 hours when i got her at Marietta, Ga. had engine overhauled at Western Skyways about 2 years later due to high oil consumption. We spent about 1200 hours together. Had to go Light Sport for a couple years, got Basic Med the day after it came out, next day called owner to see if he would like to sell it back. No interest at that time so I bought my current J. You have one of nicest and well cared for Mooneys on the planet. Good luck and enjoy a great plane!
  10. Those drawings are the same resolution I have, pretty unusable. One saving grace wires are coded with a label, with enough time you can find both ends of the label. I have been trying to trace power system to find and clean all grounds.
  11. +1 for the CD. I always order them for any airplane I am considering buying. Had CD for five different J’s before I bought the one I have now. I consider it a mandatory step in the buying process.
  12. I cant find downloadable schematics for J model serial number 24-3151. The packages that I can find have some that are perfect, my model year is a crappy scan and stuff is unreadable when printed, even trying to read online for parts of it. I’ve thought of buying Mooneys USB but thought I would end up with the same issue.
  13. +1 for Craig, cant go wrong, check web site, he even has recommended shops.
  14. Which xpndr, Garmins got neat new encoder for the 335and345
  15. See you at the gas pump Bob, gerry two hanger rows down.
  16. This is a follow up to my previous post. I remembered that I had a copy of the service bulletin when I was considering doing this to my '90 J model. Looking at the changes in Normal Procedures and Performance (landing charts) it seems that the higher number is indeed valid. Varies by aircraft weight though. Gross Weight Increase.pdf
  17. If someone here has a POH for the later model that came stock from the factory it would be helpful to post that data here. It might help clear this up, I agree that 11kt seems like a big difference??
  18. My shop told me the same thing for my J model. One of the guys who frequents here (J model also) used the same shop for a pair of G5's and G500. They tried like %$# to see if they could fit a flush mount in the stock panel. Just wont work - I was told it was a clearance problem towards the top of the panel.
  19. +1 on that one
  20. You cross check altitude change with seconds on clock.
  21. Probably a lot less than taking it all apart and putting it back together. Dont forget to get matching instrument screws.
  22. Sigma-Tek Vacuum Attitude Indicator for sale. Working fine when removed from my 1990 M20J when vacuum system was removed. Includes Vacuum Switch. $220, includes shipping.
  23. +1, I did that in June during annual. It is now backup for my Aspen pfd1000. Very easy install, just a power wire. The 2610 works well. Get the one mentioned above. In my case I also pulled vac systems and backup vac system. Nice useful load increase.
  24. I looked into this for my J, its eligible. Cost from MSC/Mooney is terrible, quoted $3k
  25. I,ve been looking for blood missions too. They must have curtailed the blood drives in WA
