  1. Our 65C has a yellow indicator lamp in the toggle switch row that lights when the fuel pump, pitot heat and/or landing light are energized. Not sure how it was installed, and what breaker it might have replaced.

  3. Maybe it's obvious and I'm having a bad day, but what does this mean? When switch is set to "R", isn't it running (or dying) on the right?
  4. or get the non-aircraft version at Amazon, for 40% less
  5. Roger, why would you "report the problem to the FAA"? What's the purpose? Is your M20E even registered?
  6. When you say "it was fine in the air" did you do a mag check enroute. If you didn't, I suggest you consider the value of doing a mag check under power. That will generally give you more information on the health of your mags (and wires) than the pre-flight mag check.
  7. DaveB - maybe it would be helpful if you mentioned what mode;l nav/com is misbehaving. Do you have other radios that maintained steady power indication during this period? Are you certain that the nav/com is fully inserted into it's tray?
  8. Sounds like too much of a coincidence..
  9. They were undergoing maintenance and not able to be repositioned.
  10. Focus on something more important. There is nothing to fix. Unless of course you still don’t have front shoulder belts.
  11. You don’t own a 64C. Is it N7896V or N960GS? What do you need to correct?
  12. I consider the ability to find a 4-pilot partnership for a new Ultra an almost insurmountable challenge in all but a few geographical locations, if it can be done at all.
  13. We have an sTec 60-2 that works fine, except that several of the indicator lamps have expired. Since the front of the computer needs to be disassembled to replace a lamp, I'd like to have all the indicator lamps changed rather than just those 4-5 lamps that are out. While many avionics shops will ship the computer unit to Genesis, does anyone know of a shop that will replace these bulbs in house?
  14. I second that request....there were only a handful available at the Summit, and I remember hearing then that it would be made available post-seminar.
  15. I discussed this with the Mooney folks at last week's Summit, and they indicated that the Mooney airframe would not support a BRS-type device.
  16. A bit off topic, but can anyone provide a pirep for Carpenter Avionics at Smyrna? Considering them for a few relatively minor repairs. PM is fine.
  17. Clipboard, not kneeboard. I can confirm that it's difficult to see the screen when the person sitting directly in front of you is constantly raising his camera (phone) above his head to photo every slide....
  18. Tables might be nice, but my clipboard serves the same purpose. Problem with table is that, for a given venue, tables will reduce the seating capacity by about 50%.
  19. Seal leaking, selector sump dripping, or (the big one) selector very stiff and difficult to turn.
  20. I can sympathize, since we just had our most expensive annual since purchase in 2012. IRAN mags, repair fuel seep at rt tank sender, find and fix oil leak on #1 cylinder and replace vacuum pump (new pump was owner supplied). Those and a few other discrepancies, including inspection, came to a total of $1800 parts & labor. Nice to have a simple manual-gear Mooney. Hope we can get back down to under $1k next year.
  21. email Phil and ask. Maybe he has a wait list. pmccandless@protonmail.com
  22. Depends on several factors, but I wouldn't eliminate BNA if you want convenient car rentals or hotel transport. I've been to BNA twice this year for Angel Flights, and used Signature both times. Since I was an Angel Flight, they wave fees and also discount fuel (I only took about 10 gal). GA arrivals and departures at BNA are straightforward, although you do need to pay particular attention during ground ops. For ground transport convenience, I think my partner also prefers BNA over JWN.
  23. At last year's Summit, AVEO advised that the STC for vintage Mooney's was "imminent". Well they are still waiting for the STC.
  24. In addition to the items above @bonal has donated a personalized aircraft portrait, which will also be auctioned. Summit VI silent auction fact sheet v4.docx
  25. John, I don't think that there's any plastic-fuel interaction. Pipettes are inherently inaccurate and require technique. I recommend a free paint stirrer from your favorite hardware'c PMN department.
