This has been discussed ad infinitum, think Don Maxwell said if it does not rattle, don't replace it, lubing the actuator per service manual is a good idea, I have never seen a broken spring and do not know anybody who had one break, think the part is $2500 and the labor typically runs at $800

Great details Lance! thanks for the memory bump! in the non-gps environment… that radio was way cool! best regards, -a-

My wife and I just had this discussion on a flight Saturday. When we put in the GFC500 I didn't add the yaw damper, couldn't justify the extra cost. In cruise I typically stick my foot/boot in between the rudder pedal and side panel to keep it straight and not have to keep constant pressure with my leg. It would be nice to just let the AP do that work. I still might add it one day. - Today

Go f yourself dude. Seriously. Enough of you. You’re like a bad penny. Ya that’s a personal request that could and likely will be viewed as an attack. You’re super late to the party as well with your insight and pompous jackassery. As usual. Also you can’t read as I did absolutely nothing before I had clarity. Both poles up your arse with juice might actually shock you into not being a dick? Naw you’ll still be a dick.

My last emails with Duncan say that only the 'long body' is covered by the STC, and that they are working with BK to get the new STC approved for C through K models. I've asked Duncan for an update, as I'm ready to purchase as soon as the STC is updated. -

Edge Aviation in Commerce TX. I’ll find out how much they like doing these in the older Mooneys ;o) I’m their first Mooney - they’ve done a lot of AeroCruze installs in Pipers and Cessna. IA has one in his C182… -Don -Don -
Finally made it up to Half Moon Bay. Shot the approach and broke out at 1,500'. Had a great lunch and took off in VFR conditions to fly the San Francisco Bay.

@IgorD At 70%, as calculated from a fuel flow of 13.2gph LOP, I see 142KIAS at 6K' and 136KIAS at 15K. Standard day true airspeeds are 155KTAS and 171KTAS respectively. For completeness of data for comparison to yours, I run 30"/2200RPM at 13.2gph. I'm almost always near full gross at takeoff with CG at 46" +/- 0.2" My engine has about 1100 hours on it. What fuel flow are you running at 30"/2300RPM?

notice you're just a bit north of me, who's doing your install? might be nice to have someone who's done it do mine -
Hello Bravo pilots. I have owned my Bravo since September of 2021 and have done a factory engine along with a complete Garmin panel. However I am wondering what is the average speed that you get. I feel that I should be getting better than 160 TAS at 70% at 6500. I had taken it up to 17k and was getting 180 TAS with same power settings. I usually fly with 23/30 settings ROP. Could it be rigging or this all you get with a Bravo? When filing a flight plan at 160kt I always end up getting better speeds than forecasted.

I’m not sure if this would help you or not, but let me know. It is a Prestlite ALY 8420. It was working fine when we removed it. I do not have the bracket for it though. -

Are you talking about the clear triangleish plastic behind the light that sticks up above the wing? I might still have it at my hangar from when I put LED's on. -

I have NO idea. I know that I am 15 degrees LOP on the richest cylinder. I will check on my next trip

That setup is not uncommon with one electronic ignition. Just installed a Surefly on my 252. We put it on the right side. The left is the original Slick with impulse coupling. It sure starts smartly. I plan on replacing the harness with a Maggies and will have the SF fire bottom plugs and the mags the top ones.

Anyone have a link to the STC? Not able to find it on Duncan's website. I am trying to verify if the STC covers the 66 F model. If so, does anyone know of good installation shops in the eastern US region? I'm located in VA. -

Until you have it. I remember a flight in a friend's Cherokee 180D. I was flying from the right seat. He started muttering and cussing under his breath. I asked him what was wrong. He commented that I flew his airplane almost 4 knots faster on the same power setting. I am glider, tailwheel and helicopter trained and certified. I use the rudders. -
