Wasnt there a requirement to add beefed up landing gear ? I remember parker mentioning that when he converted to a 262.

And the gear mods alone were also a significant chump of change if I remember correctly.

When I had my 261 (262) conversion done, I had a dual braking system installed (great stopping power without locking up the brakes) and Paul at LASAR engineered a three main gear door system. That one really helped with adding a couple of knots. Neither was part of the standard conversion, but they were good augmentations.

Huh - can you describe both of those conversions please in more detail - and what to look at to figure if I may or may not already have something that covers it?
