jetdriven Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 You can have these for 1300$. For sale is a set of Slick magnetos, P/N 4372, 4370 with gears, complete IO-360-A3B6 ignition harness, and the accessory gears and hold-down clamps. The whole shooting match, We bought a new factory Lycoming IO-360-A3B6 engine and after breaking her in, switched to Bendix 1200 mags. These mags were installed on a built to order Lycoming in July 2012, first flight was 8-12-12 and they were removed from service 12-4-12. 86.2 TTSN. The 4370 has a 15 degree lag angle on the impulse coupler and is for a 20 degree timing engine. I have run it at 25 degrees and there is no operational concerns in doing so. The 4370 right mag has no impulse coupler. The harness fits the UREM spark plugs (3/4" cap) These mags are airworthy and come with all supporting docs from Lycoming and copies of the engine logbook for traceability. They run and look as new. We wanted Bendix 1200s so we can have a little better LOP performance.New prices: 4372 is 918$ plus core charge of 150$ 4370 is 798$ plus core charge of 150$ harness is ~375$. Lycoming gear, impulse coupling 61665, 302$ Lycoming gear, straight mag, 309$ total: $2,702 plus 300$ core charge. Hartzell ALX-8521LS alternator, 70A 12V, for a M20J model, may fit others. quik flite Posted February 20, 2013 Report Posted February 20, 2013 Do you still have alternator ,will it fit 1987 201, It looks like it has a hose for cooling ,I dont think mine has this Quote
jetdriven Posted February 20, 2013 Author Report Posted February 20, 2013 It should fit, it came with our A3B6 engine, and the mounting is the same between that and the A3B6D. The cooling fan is not required, the J has a large opening in the front baffle Quote
quik flite Posted February 20, 2013 Report Posted February 20, 2013 The plane is being serviced Monday or Tuesday and they are checking a charging problem if it needs an alternator I will contact you. Thank you. Quote
wishboneash Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 I have a '78 M20J with the A3B6 engine with the Kelly ALY-5820R alt. Anyone upgraded to the AL12-P70 Plane Power version? Any issues with the compatability? Thanks. Quote
jetdriven Posted April 10, 2013 Author Report Posted April 10, 2013 Our factory engine had the Plane Power installed from the old engine, which is why we sold the Alternator. Magnetos are sold as well. Thanks Byron Quote
FlyingAggie Posted July 14, 2013 Report Posted July 14, 2013 Byron, Are the mags still available? Quote
