Gpsmap 695 available in Europe

For the European Mooniacs: The Gpsmap 695 is available in Europe with the Atlantic Database. Received mine today and I am really impressed. Ok, it has no XM weather, no SafeTaxi diagrams and no approach plates. But the screen size is a really cool :-). I hope Jeppesen will add some charts in the future.

It fits nicely on the yoke when the mounting bracket is installed inverted, that gives a good view on the instrument panel. Hopefully the weather will improve on the weekend so I can test it in flight.

www.flightstore.co.uk has a good price for them, they saved me 400€.

Just as a thought if you are ordering any expensive removable bits for your mooney let me know.   we have no VAT here and as we are technically outside the EU this gets deducted saving you 15-20%.   I can then  post it on to you.

Thanks! The next time I need something I'll contact you. Your place seems to be aviation heaven in Europe...no VAT and fuel cheaper than in the US. I think I should emigrate..

fuel cheaper than us ? KLEE is now 2,53$/usgallon, i don't think jersey is cheaper ?? is it ??

I used to fly a lot to Jersey with a King Air. Is that hotel near Corbiere Lighthouse still open.

I would like to go there next time
