I just got a new video camera (contour) and I put together this short video... I know, I need to work on my editing and the brakes of the airplane locked when I touched down... but I still wanted to share this with our community.

I was aiming at 19 and landed on 01... Seriously, I am getting used to a higher altitude airport and i just did not get the speeds on final right... BTW the tower even made a joke out of it...

Understand. Nice to have a long runway to learn. Over numbers at 3:28 & Mains touch at 3:57...nearly 30 seconds of float...which our Mooney's LOVE to do with to much speed. Way to "let it happen" and NOT force it. Have fun Oscar,

Very cool. I have a Contour and have made videos from inside my Mooney. I'd love to do one from the outside. How did you attach the camera to the aircraft?

I used a RAM suction cup. I will go to the airport on Saturday and take some pictures and post them. Unfortunately I have to work... and can't go before...:=(

a suction cup!!!No way oscar would that attach a contour to a greasy Mooney belly!!!...I have a countour..I use zip ties ..maybe to the tiedown ???Anyway fun video and I enjoyed the view...kpc

Beautiful scenery! Nice flying, too. I'm not sure if your brakes were locked or not.

Thanks for asking about the volcano. Thanks God the erruption stopped today... yesterday it was looking really bad. 10,000 people had to be evacuated...but today the volcano just looks nice and quiet.

And yes, I did block the brakes. I had them readjusted and I just did not notice it...
