AmigOne Posted August 9, 2012 Report Posted August 9, 2012 I never liked the original knob in the throttle of my 68 20C, it was sharp and did not have a nice and smooth feel. So I replaced it with a black plastic one from Aircraft Spruce. Besides it matches better the other two knobs. The thread was exactly the same as the original which I'm saving it in case the next owner likes it better. 1 Quote
Hank Posted August 9, 2012 Report Posted August 9, 2012 My '70 Ranger has a throttle quadrant, which I really like. When did they change??? Quote
Ron McBride Posted August 9, 2012 Report Posted August 9, 2012 My 69 has the quadrant. I belive all models changed in 69. I like the quadrant best myself. Ron Quote
rob Posted August 9, 2012 Report Posted August 9, 2012 Having flown both the quadrant and the standard configuration, I'm glad I fly a 65. Quote
PilotDerek Posted August 9, 2012 Report Posted August 9, 2012 All models changed to the quadrant in 1969 and stayed that way until 1978. Quote

May be dumb question, but bny advice on how to get the old one off? It's on awful tight, and I'm not sure how to get leverage on it without damaging anything else. Quote

Do you have a replacement part number for the whole cable assembly? Quote
