Thought I'd share some pictures of the panel I just finished machining and engraving for a fellow in Iowa for his 66E. He and his partner want to use the plane for IFR flying , but found it difficult scanning the panel in it's original configuration. The panel doesn't look like too much now in it's raw state, but once painted and filled with instruments, it should look pretty sweet! I'll see if I can get some "after" photos from him to share. (Note: N numbers blanked out for owners privacy)

I like the way you handled the side of the panel that folds near the radio stack.  Mine just has a separate piece cut at an angle.  Nice work...

I agree; that panel looks great. My 69C already has the instruments arranged in the six-pack pattern, but I've never been a fan of the circuit breaker panel on the right side. The breakers are split into two separate sections and hidden behind spring loaded doors. I've often wondered what it would take and what it would cost to create a new aluminum right-side panel with a better breaker layout. Do you know what it would take to do that? The furthest I got was creating a paper template of it, but I'm not sure how to convert that to a spiffy-looking (and installable) panel.

AMUs? I don't need it nailed down -- just want to know where the ballpark is for one typically like the photo. The only differince I see is my electric gear would need to go somewhere.

Thanks,

Looks like about $700 for half panel.  There's a photo on his website that shows one with the electric gear.  He's getting an email from me as soon as my airplane makes it back to Kansas after getting a new 201 windshield installed.
