I have new baffle seals that were custom cut and installed by myself about three years ago. All has been well during that time period until about a month ago when they started sporatically turning over backwards under the cowling during flight. We have had extreme heat here in Arkansas which makes me wonder if they are more pliable which is causing them to bend over when the airflow hits them. They have done this on about half of my flights over the last few weeks... One thing to note is that I had them do this same thing about two years ago for a flight or two but I can't remember the temps/time of year it happened. Surprisingly only one of my flights had any issues with high CHT's and that was with 106 ground temps. Have any of you experienced this?
