Looking for a CFI with Mooney experience in or around Lincoln, Ca. (KLHM)

Hello,

I just bought an M20 F. I’m super excited about it. I’m looking for a CFI to teach me how to really fly this airplane. Insurance wants me to get at least 10 hours of instruction with 15 full-stop landings but I would like to get a few more hours of instruction than that. Insurance says any CFI with at least 750 hours TT AND 200 of retractable could give me the checkout but I’d rather have someone with Mooney experience (preferably in the M20F with the J-bar). The plane is located in Lincoln, Ca (KLHM). So if there’s someone in the area or if you know of someone in the area, that would be willing to teach me, I would appreciate it. Thank you for your consideration.

Mike Peavey did my time and check out with me -m20c. He’s based in Chico. His rate is very reasonable. If you are interested I can send you his contact info in a direct message. Zorro

To get someone's attention, you can type the "at sign" followed by their screen name like this @Zorro

CFII Daniel Riedling is in Cameron Park and has had a ton of time in my J doing my instrument cert prep.  He also recently did a Mooney buyers checkout as well.  Very skilled and knowledgable pilot and instructor. danielriedling@gmail.com

@Jon M

whoa! I grew up in Cameron Park:) Very neat to hear there’s another active Mooney flyer over there.  I’m in and out of O61 to visit with my folks. The m20c I’m flying now actually spent a good portion of its life before me based at O61. Is Tim Carr still working in that area?
