wombat Posted October 31 Report Posted October 31 Do you have a warranty on your engine or airframe? Or reply if you are expecting to soon have a warranty. Quote
LANCECASPER Posted October 31 Report Posted October 31 A warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship and would only come from the manufacturer (or rebuilder). If you’re expecting to soon have a “warranty”, meaning buying one, that would probably be a Service Contract. Quote

I was thinking that maybe some people were getting a factory rebuilt engine or something like that. Quote
Ryan ORL Posted November 1 Report Posted November 1 I have a warranty on my overhauled engine (early this year) that covers a narrow set of potential failure modes, so I guess this counts in some way. Probably anyone who gets an overhaul from an actual engine shop has something similar that usually runs up to a few hundred hours and probably runs out in far less calendar time than that would ordinarily require to fly. (I believe my warranty assumes a 25 hour per month utilization rate) Quote
Jetpilot86 Posted November 1 Report Posted November 1 I've got 8 months or so left on my Lycoming OH on my Bravo. Quote
