PeteMc Posted August 30 Report Posted August 30 Can you define "engineer" for us? What exactly are you looking for? What I might call a mechanic maybe to work on your plane? Quote
N201MKTurbo Posted August 30 Report Posted August 30 People have been telling me that for years, I just didn't want to live in CA. I probably should have taken that job offer from Apple back in '92. 2 Quote

Yeah, it was Apple and 1982 for me Top of the woulda, coulda, shoulda category for me was my failure to buy 10 shares of BRK-A stock at that same time (1982), IIRC they were about $700 a share and I had about $10K to invest. I believe BRK-A shares closed today at around $715,000 a share... 1 Quote

He was going to work for general Secord. I said no. He came back about a year later and said I should have come. He also offered me a DC3 type rating for 1/2 the gas. And I said no. When I was working on computers for the airlines in Denver and got to know the guy who ran the sims for Frontier Airlines. They had a Convair 580 sim made out of telephone parts. I figured out how it worked and got good at fixing it. They sold it to an airline in Alaska. They wanted to hire me to run it. They said they would get me a type rating and make me a line pilot if I moved up there. I said no. I am the stupidest person I ever met.. 5 Quote

I'm an engineer with two degrees that say so, and for a short period was also lame. But two months of physical therapy got me moving properly again. Sorry, no, I work(ed) in manufacturing, not on airplanes . . . . 2 Quote
