N9405V Posted December 30, 2023 Report Posted December 30, 2023 I’m at the tail end of a panel upgrade and I know I’ll need to sit in the plane pushing buttons some. What is a good option for ground power that is not stupid expensive? Also, on the M20E what plug do I need for the power receptacle? I don’t have access to my plane easily to look. What we started with to what we finished with! Garmin G3X w/EISGarmin GFC500Garmin GTN650Garmin GMA345Garmin SL30Garmin G5Garmin 345GTX Should bring the airplane home from the shop next week. They still need to calibrate the fuel senders and finish setting everything up. This has been a long process Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Joe Linnebur Posted December 30, 2023 Report Posted December 30, 2023 Consider this option. In the process myself of putting something like this together: 1 Quote
PT20J Posted December 30, 2023 Report Posted December 30, 2023 I just run mine with the BatteryMINDer connected. It never shows that it’s output is exceeded. I have essentially the same panel. 2 Quote
Pinecone Posted December 30, 2023 Report Posted December 30, 2023 The right side of that panel looks empty. I just dropped mine off at the avionics shop. Putting a dock for an AERO 760 in a dock on the right side. Quote
Fritz1 Posted December 31, 2023 Report Posted December 31, 2023 I also use the battery minder as a ground power unit, provides 4 amps at 24V, I may deplete the battery a little bit working on the radios, the battery minder charges them up again in a couple of hours Quote
pirate Posted December 31, 2023 Report Posted December 31, 2023 Another option that works really good. Schauer JAC25 1 Quote
