Glare Shield Lighting

I’m hoping some of you guys can help me. My glareshield lighting is now inop. This one knob controls The lighting on the pedestal, Compass, Map Lights and the tiny lights under the glareshield Brow.  Premier in Ft Lauderdale thinks it could be the Dimmer Control Box (P/N 800049-503). They tell me that Mooney owns this Part and there is a retrofit available from Mooney but the price is close to $2k plus install. Premier said there is probably some shop that that can fix this for me but they do not know of one. Does anyone have any information on this? I would really appreciate it.

Dimmers are available from Spruce or Chief. they need to calculate how many amps it controls.

You may want to downgrade from the Premier cabin to the Economy cabin for a second opinion.

My 80 K has a two pin Busman fuse under the panel for the lighting. There is a screw on cap on the fuse holder, with teh small 2 pin fuse underneath. Can anyone comment about the '95?

There is a separate thread about where to buy the fuses if it turns out you need one.
