Anybody have the aspen evolution 2000 installed.  I have an aspen 1000 pro max and was thinking of adding the MFD to replace the vacuum instruments.   I believe the pro 1000 was installed before aspen got the approval from the FAA .  So the panel still has the old instruments.

I do have an aspen evolution 2000 installed. It works really well and integrates nicely with my garmin suite (750 and 650).

If you upgrade the battery on the PFD1000 pro  max it can serve without a backup legally.  I personally still would want another digital AI with its own battery backup, but it opens up some other configuration options besides going to the 2000.

Do you have a Pro or a Pro Max?

There are differences.

Aspen had some really good prices for trade in around Oshkosh.  I have a 1000 Pro and considered going to a 2000 Pro Max.  My avionics shop contacted Aspen and they would honor the Oskosh price for a while.

I decided to go Garmin as I am having some autopilot issues, so plan on a GFC-500 and it needs Garmin stuff to drive it.

I have the 2500 setup in my Baron.  I am very happy with it and would do it again.  Only change would be another Aspen on the right side.  Probably would not have room for that in my Mooney.

Billy if you do decide to add the MFD 1000 max can you update us on the cost including about to instal it? I have a PFD pro max and have considered it or adding a Garmin GI 271 instead for future use with a G3X or G500txi

Thanks

I am trying to recall the price I was quoted to upgrade my 1000 Pro to the 2000 Pro Max.  I was thinking it was about $15K with the Aspen Oshkosh pricing.

Get another PFD and you'll have the Aspen 2000 with complete reversionary capability.   https://sarasotaavionics.com/summer-clearance

I have a single Pro Max as my primary and I went with a GI275 for my backup AI.

In IMC I have the 275 on the AI screen.  In VMC I have it on the Traffic screen.
