HopePilot Posted March 6, 2012 Report Posted March 6, 2012 I'd like to add headrests to my rear seats when I re-do them, but apparently that might be difficult to do. Has anyone done this to an early 80's Mooney with the removable rear seats and how? Quote
Cris Posted March 6, 2012 Report Posted March 6, 2012 In looking at those seats they appear to be about the same overall height as the more current Ovation seats that have headrests. I'm using the window to judge the height. If so you might not need headrests. Alternatively you might try a swap with an Ovation at some fly in to see if the Ovation seat backs are interchangeable. If so look for something on the used parts market that can be recovered. Quote
Parker_Woodruff Posted March 6, 2012 Report Posted March 6, 2012 You have the taller backrest seats. I don't know if those include a frame to support the headrest or not. They're tall enough to begin with that most people wouldn't need a headrest. That said, my M20J came without them, but the frame to support the headrest was already in my seat. Aero Comfort made 4 headrests for me. Quote
