amillet Posted November 24, 2022 Report Posted November 24, 2022 Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. One of my clients who lives here in Sequim operates the world’s only wing walking school. I got some photos last month after a formation practice flight with @FlyTester. http://masonwingwalking.com 1 Quote
Hank Posted November 24, 2022 Report Posted November 24, 2022 Not especially. I enjoy being in the left front seat too much to get out while in the air. Same reason I don't skydive; besides, they miss the landings! Quote
Utah20Gflyer Posted November 24, 2022 Report Posted November 24, 2022 I have never had the desire to be outside of an airplane while it was flying. I lived in Sequim for 6 months, it's a beautiful area. Quote
amillet Posted November 24, 2022 Author Report Posted November 24, 2022 The young man in the photo came from the Isle of Mann. Financed the trip from YouTube earnings for video of surviving an avalanche Quote
201er Posted November 25, 2022 Report Posted November 25, 2022 That’s not a wing walker, now here’s a wing walker! 1 2 Quote
MooneyMitch Posted November 25, 2022 Report Posted November 25, 2022 This guy had strong ambitions of being a wing walker and succeeded….. until he fell off and conked his little headie on the tarmac Quote

I remember a question on my A&P general test was about what limits the taxi speed of an airliner, and the answer was the speed of the slowest wing walker. 1 Quote

Utah20Gflyer Posted November 26, 2022 Report Posted November 26, 2022 I was a Missionary for the LDS church, you get moved around regularly during the 2 years you are out. I was also in Port orchard for a while so was on the peninsula for a good chunk of my time. I remember being in Forks one time, there was a burger joint there that served this enormous burger. If you finished it you got to sign their book. I'd like to go back there some day and see my name from 25 years ago....if they are still in business. 1 Quote

He was a sky divers himself. He had about 6 or 7 DC-3 takeoffs logged, but ZERO landings. Quote
carusoam Posted December 1, 2022 Report Posted December 1, 2022 Wow! A YouTuber that made enough money from a video…. That didn’t destroy anything important… Is there a link to his wing walk? Interested in the video… not getting the experience myself…. Best regards, -a- Quote
Danb Posted December 1, 2022 Report Posted December 1, 2022 Here’s a nice lady who I met last year is a wingwalker and based at Shreveport Downtown KDTN I spoke with her for an hour or so realizing she actually wasn’t crazy Quote
