Gubni Posted October 20, 2022 Report Posted October 20, 2022 (edited) I am working to get my plane in annual and the IA said he would do avionics for me if I keep it simple. I had 2 old GNS530s and GTX330 and wanted to upgrade one of them to a 530 WAAS and 330ES for ADSB. I read this only requires 2 pairs of wires to be added. I have the units here to be installed, but I can't seem to find what needs to be done to connect them. I also have the new WAAS antenna and some new coax to go with it. Schinderhannes Posted October 20, 2022 Report Posted October 20, 2022 You need to connect 1 of the RS232 out channels on the 530w with 1 of the RS232 in channels of the 330es. 330es has a pin for ground on the 530w you connect ground to the backplate. Wire looks similar to the attached picture. If needed I can provide wire and diagram. 1 1 Quote
