cliffy Posted October 15, 2022 Report Posted October 15, 2022 Looking for the number of an LED bulb to replace the normal "hot" bulbs in the "twist to dim" gear lights As mine are no regulated to a secondary position as the Dynon has gear lights also (I kept the old lights in the same panel spot to avoid a change in muscle memory when looking for the gear lights ) I'd like to change to a "cooler" runn Just asking if anyone knows the number off hand before I did into pages of internet c&^p :-) Picture attached of the old lights above the Dynon 1

I wonder if there’s a way to get the same size led light that’s currently in our airplanes and use our current socket? Sometimes it’s hard to find one with the same exact bulb size even if the base is standard.
0TreeLemur Posted October 16, 2022 Report Posted October 16, 2022 I bought some of that size bulbs a few years ago from aviationbulbs.com or something like that. The LED bulbs where not very expensive. A few $ apiece. Found it. https://www.aero-lites.com/web-store search for miniature bulbs. 1
Apcoleman Posted October 20, 2022 Report Posted October 20, 2022 I just replaced both of mine and your PTT gear lights look the same as mine. The bulb was a GE 330 so you should be able to find a LED equivalent pretty easy. https://www.aero-lites.com/product-page/aero-lites-aircraft-post-light-drop-in-led-replacement-for-ge-330-12-14vdc
