W6k Posted August 30, 2022 Report Posted August 30, 2022 The interior window plastic edges ride up against the window. It seems to me that some sort of edge protection would be a good addition. A small rubber U shaped rould bead that would press fit over the edge all the way around would look better IMHO. My parts manual does not show anything so I guess Mooney never supplied any trim piece. Is there anything available that might work? Maybe I am the only one that cares! I'm always looking for ways to improve things. Quote

It was replaced with a more flexible version that Bruce Jaeger provided when he did my interior. This is what the original trim piece looked like:You can see the new U trim piece on the door frame in this picture. This what you are talking about?Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro Quote
BillyT0020 Posted August 31, 2022 Report Posted August 31, 2022 I am in the middle of redoing all my interior now and used this for a lot of the trim. I will prob be 66’ in all said and done. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09YPT2B4M?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 I found that this specific Locktite gel is key when installing this on the trim. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Loctite-Extreme-Glue-No-Drip-Gel-0-7-oz-Tube-2596210/312948853 Billy Quote
Bryan G Posted August 31, 2022 Report Posted August 31, 2022 Jaeger Aviation sells it for $2.00/foot. Give them a call, they have tan or grey. https://www.jaegeraviation.com/cost Quote
M20F-1968 Posted August 31, 2022 Report Posted August 31, 2022 How much do you need? I have a bunch of the tan color I bought from Bruce Jaeger but never used. Perhaps I can recoup some money and you can get a deal. John Breda (617) 877-0025 john.breda@gmail.com Quote
PT20J Posted August 31, 2022 Report Posted August 31, 2022 Check with Jaeger/Wisconsin Aviation. Bruce Jaeger sold me some really nice silicone material that is very flexible, beige color, and has a larger flap on the backside making it easy to adhere with a little clear RTV. https://www.jaegeraviation.com Skip Quote
