mooneym20d Posted November 22, 2011 Report Posted November 22, 2011 Took this out of an early 201 - was this an original yoke? Quote
N9937c Posted November 22, 2011 Report Posted November 22, 2011 dont know but i have one too larry Quote
Lood Posted November 22, 2011 Report Posted November 22, 2011 It looks like those that were installed in the early J models. I have a pair, now covered with leather, in my F. The main difference between these early models and the those used later, is that the early J's had the same diameter control shaft as the vintage models. However, the hole where they bolt onto the control shaft differ by 90 deg between the vintage models and the J's. IIRC, the thick control shaft was introduced around '79 - '80. Quote
N9937c Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 Maybe some difference in the hole but the ones in all the Mooney's i've seen don't have the angled bottom. The grips are on protusions at 90 degrees. larry Quote
ToddDPT Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 My '77 J's yokes don't have that sharp angle at the bottom. Quote
N601RX Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 This is what is on my F. I'm not sure what model J they came from. They have the heavier shaft. They don't have the sharp angle like yours does. It looks like the ones you have would lower your hands a couple of inches. Quote
mooneym20d Posted November 23, 2011 Author Report Posted November 23, 2011 Thanks for all the replies. Still not sure where it originated from. Maybe I'll use it on a simulator. Definately looks different from all the other 201 yokes. Quote
