Is there a software (paid or free) with airplane templates paint scheme designers use? I want to visualize some of my ideas

Photoshop.
My painter was able to use it quite efficiently. I made some crude drawings. I made a few changes and we had completed it. He printed it out and taped it to the plane. They taped it and I came back in to verify it’s what I wanted.

If you just want to play, make some copies of the 3-view in your Owners Manual and use crayons or colored pencils. Look at lots of airplane pictures. Your paint shop will be able to figure it out.

There is a service that gets used often around here...

They are pretty good, they know Mooneys, schemes, and colors....

The do several versions, ideas, colors....

Then put full scale plans to be taped to the plane...

I’m a bit fuzzy on the details... just trying to give a hint of what some MSers have done...

Did anyone try ovation paint schemes on vintage mooneys? Or these look funny on shorter bodies with rectangle windows?

There are a couple around here...

There are also many more that have updated their classic Mooney with a brand new version of a classic paint scheme...
