KLRDMD Posted March 12, 2021 Report Posted March 12, 2021 (edited) I didn't put this in For Sale since I'm not the owner and I know nothing about this airplane. I happened to be driving on the ramp at KAVQ (Tucson, AZ) and saw this. It has an S-Tec 40 A/P. The center radios are gone but there is a radio or two on the right side of the panel. The windows are very hazy. Kinda looks like a nose gear collapse but the mains are not scratched and the prop doesn't look new. The interior looks decent. That's pretty much all I know. 47U Posted March 12, 2021 Report Posted March 12, 2021 Ken... my apologies. The resolution was there, I failed to open the picture. Thank you. Quote
David Lloyd Posted March 12, 2021 Report Posted March 12, 2021 Last flightaware, August 2015. Sale reported October 2015, never completed registration with FAA. Registration expired 2018. Quote
47U Posted March 12, 2021 Report Posted March 12, 2021 And no NTSB reports, that I could find... not that a gear up mandates one. Quote
JoeM Posted March 15, 2021 Report Posted March 15, 2021 Tucson is as good a place as any for a plane to sit for 5 years. Probably little if any corrosion. Quote

JoeM Posted March 24, 2021 Report Posted March 24, 2021 Excellent points.....I talked to the owner’s daughter. He has 15 in it and wants 10 AMUs or more. We parted friends. Quote
carusoam Posted March 24, 2021 Report Posted March 24, 2021 Compare to other derelict parts planes... That may be the going price for a non-AW plane that needs everything... My 65C in similar condition, not including the gear issue here... sold for 18amu 10 years ago... PP thoughts only, not a mechanic... Best regards, -a- Quote
Steve P Posted March 25, 2021 Report Posted March 25, 2021 OK, I am new to all of this, but what does 10 amu mean??? Quote
KLRDMD Posted March 25, 2021 Author Report Posted March 25, 2021 Just now, Steve P said: OK, I am new to all of this, but what does 10 amu mean??? 1AMU = 1 Aviation Monetary Unit = $1,000. It seems you can't do anything on an airplane for less than $1,000. Quote
carusoam Posted March 26, 2021 Report Posted March 26, 2021 Dollar values are often coded to not attract too much attention in the daily conversations of airplane activities... This helps keep the outside onlookers at bay... A simple method to help avoid unneeded attention... Best regards, -a- Quote
