toto Posted April 26, 2020 Report Posted April 26, 2020 I saw the PR that AOPA is switching to iFlightPlanner from the soon-to-be-decommissioned Jeppesen product. I spent a few seconds poking around the app, and it seems like it will take some investment to really become familiar. Anyone used iFlightPlanner? Any PIREPs? Is this worth spending the time? https://www.aopa.org/news-and-media/all-news/2020/april/22/aopa-announces-access-to-new-flight-planner The online flight planning space is obviously pretty crowded at this point, but I don't mind having a free web option as a backup to other methods. 1
irishpilot Posted April 26, 2020 Report Posted April 26, 2020 yep, been using iFlightPlanner as a quick planning tool when I don't have my EFB with Foreflight. It's better than the Jepp product, especially when searching for intersections or waypoints. Easy click and drag. However, I use Foreflight almost exclusively because their desktop version saves routes I was working on and is easy to pull up on the EFB. Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
