I’d stay inside of them. They would prevent a safe return if you flew around them. They are close, but we briefed we’d stay inside the hills to the south.

FWIW, I think Durango and Montrose are great winter airports. Lots of services and relatively easy surroundings. Not in Summit County but still close to good snow!

Fly into to both those airports and they are great! I just had/have an offer to use a friends house in Breckinridge and though I would give it a shot I. I actually just drove to Durango and back last week. Great time of year to be there!
